On Friday night and before dawn Saturday, Israeli forces invaded the city of Jenin in the northern part of the occupied West Bank, in addition to towns and villages nearby.
On Friday evening, Israeli occupation forces stormed the town of Ya’`bad, west of Jenin, erected a flying military roadblock at its entrance, and invaded many citizens’ homes.
The army set up barriers near Kufeirat village, west of the city, and Zububa village, northwest of the city.
Later, a large military force invaded the northern West Bank city of Jenin and its refugee camp, before dawn on Saturday.
Media sources said that several military vehicles, accompanied by a D9 bulldozer, invaded the city and its camp from the Al-Jalama military roadblock, north of the city.
The incursion triggered protests among local youths, while armed Palestinian resistance fighters exchanged fire with the invading army.
It was added that the army deployed soldiers in the vicinity of the Jenin Governmental Hospital near the camp, while additional reinforcements arrived from several directions.
The army stormed several buildings near the camp and positioned sharpshooters inside buildings and on rooftops, and broke into many citizens’ homes in the city and the camp.
Furthermore, during the incursion, occupation forces fired lighting bombs in the sky over the Jenin camp and caused a power outage in the camp and several neighborhoods in the city.
According to Abu Ali Owais, a local citizen, soldiers threw incendiary devices into the “Net Café” causing a fire, damaging its contents.
He added that the army stormed and ransacked his home and the homes of his children, causing destruction.
Moreover, soldiers invaded the home of citizen, Khaled Jabareen and several homes on the outskirts of the Jenin refugee camp.
