Israeli forces invaded several communities across the occupied West Bank on Sunday, erected military roadblocks, fired tear gas canisters toward homes, closed roads, and issued demolition and construction-halt orders. Israeli forces also carried out invasions in occupied Jerusalem.
In al-Mughayyir village, northeast of Ramallah in the central West Bank, Israeli forces invaded the area and deployed in the Marj Si’ locality, where they established a military roadblock at the village entrance.
Local sources said soldiers fired tear gas canisters toward homes, causing a number of residents to suffer the effects of tear gas inhalation, while military measures disrupted movement in and around the village.
Elsewhere in the Ramallah governorate, Israeli forces invaded Beit Liqya, southwest of Ramallah in the central West Bank, and delivered notices ordering residents to halt construction and warning that several homes could be demolished.
Local sources said the notices were handed to homeowners during the invasion. Like many Palestinian communities across the occupied West Bank, the town faces ongoing Israeli restrictions on Palestinian construction and urban expansion.
In the city of Qalqilia in the northwestern West Bank, Israeli forces invaded the city and erected a military roadblock on Al-Wad Street, stopping and searching vehicles.
In the village of Tell, southwest of Nablus in the northern West Bank, Israeli soldiers fired tear gas canisters during an invasion of the community, according to local sources.
Meanwhile, an Israeli military bulldozer closed roads leading to the Ras al-Ein area of Qusra, southeast of Nablus in the northern West Bank, restricting access for residents and vehicles.
In occupied Jerusalem, Israeli forces invaded the vicinity of the Maragha family home in Silwan, south of Al-Aqsa Mosque. The invasion occurred as the family faces an Israeli eviction order issued in favor of settlers, targeting one home and parts of several family residences.
The order affects the homes of Na’im Maragha and Salah Maragha, as well as part of the residence of educator Inam Maragha and her sister Rabia, both of whom reportedly have severe mobility disabilities.
Israeli forces also invaded the town of Isawiya in occupied Jerusalem. The town is subjected to frequent military invasions involving home invasions, abductions, and restrictions on residents’ movement.
Further south, Israeli forces invaded several areas in the Bethlehem governorate of the southern West Bank, including Beit Jala and Doha, west of Bethlehem, and al-Khader, south of Bethlehem. Soldiers patrolled the streets in these communities, and no abductions were reported.
Earlier Sunday, Israeli soldiers abducted at least 11 Palestinians during invasions of communities across the occupied West Bank, including in the Bethlehem, Ramallah, Hebron, and Nablus governorates.
These developments are part of ongoing Israeli military operations across the occupied West Bank and occupied Jerusalem, where Palestinian communities face repeated invasions, military roadblocks, road closures, demolition orders, eviction threats, and other restrictive measures.
