Israeli forces shot and killed, on Tuesday, an elderly Palestinian man in the city of Tubas, and a child succumbed to wounds he sustained on Monday, near Nablus.
On Monday evening, occupation forces invaded Zawata village, northwest of Nablus, in the northern occupied West Bank, sparking protests among local Palestinian youths.
Soldiers opened fire with live rounds and injured fourteen citizens, most of whom were children, shooting Muhammad Abdul Qadir Al-Kharaz,14, in the pelvis with live ammunition.
On Tuesday, it was announced that the child, Al-Kharaz had succumbed to his wounds sustained the day before.
Large numbers of Palestinians gathered in front of Rafidia Hospital in Nablus, marched through the streets while carrying the body to the Grand Mosque where the funeral prayer was performed, and then the slain child was laid to rest in the Eastern Cemetery.
In the northeastern part of the occupied West Bank, undercover Israeli agents invaded, on Tuesday, the city of Tubas, followed by army reinforcements.
The incursion sparked protests among Palestinian youths, and soldiers fired live ammunition, concussion grenades, and tear gas at them, shooting 12 citizens and injuring two critically, including 70-year old Rawhi Rashid Sawafta.
Later the Ministry of Health announced that Sawafta had succumbed to the serious gunshot to the face, inflicted on him by the occupation army.
The funeral procession for the slain man was held on Tuesday beginning in front of the Turkish Tubas Governmental Hospital in Tubas.
Participants carried the body on their shoulders while marching through the streets chanting slogans of condemnation for the crimes of the occupation.
Mourners carried the body to the slain man’s family home where loved ones said their final farewells, before burying him in his family’s cemetery.
