On Sunday, an Israeli man succumbed to gunshot wounds inflicted on him by the occupation army in the city of Jericho, in the northeastern part of the occupied West Bank.
WAFA correspondent reported that the young man, Abdullah Mohammed Atiyat, 25, died on Sunday, of critical wounds to the upper body after Israeli forces shot him with live rounds in Jericho city.
Media sources said that occupation forces invaded several neighborhoods in Jericho city late Saturday night and opened fire with live ammunition, critically wounding Atiyat, a resident of Nazareth, inside Israel, while he was present on Qasr Hisham Street.
The seriously injured young man was transported to Jericho Governmental Hospital, he was later transferred to Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital in Jerusalem, and his death was announced on Sunday morning.
The Arab 48 news website quoted the slain young man’s family who stated that soldiers shot him in the head during the military incursion which sparked protests.
The family added that Atiyat was visiting relatives in the city when the army stormed the city and shot him in the head at close range with live ammunition despite posing no direct threat to soldiers.
