Israeli drone fire and ground attacks across the devastated and besieged Gaza Strip on Saturday killed three Palestinians and injured several others, as UN agencies reported a deepening humanitarian emergency amid continued restrictions on aid access.

A Palestinian man was killed, and others were injured when an Israeli military drone struck a civilian vehicle near the Bani Suheila roundabout, east of Khan Younis, in southern Gaza.

Medical teams at Nasser Hospital said the victims arrived with severe trauma wounds caused by the strike.

Earlier in the day, two brothers, Fahmi and Sa’ed Omar Qaddoum, were shot dead by Israeli forces east of Gaza City.

Medical sources said Israeli military vehicles opened heavy fire toward homes in the Sham’a area of the Old City, injuring additional residents.

Another man was shot and wounded in the Zeitoun neighborhood as Israeli tanks and artillery shelled the eastern edges of Zeitoun, Shuja’iyya, and Tuffah neighborhoods.

UNRWA and OCHA said humanitarian conditions are deteriorating sharply. The Kerem Shalom (Karem Abu Salem) crossing remains the only functioning entry point, creating severe bottlenecks for food, fuel, and medical supplies.

UNRWA reported that stocks of tents, bedding, and hygiene materials are nearly exhausted, while overcrowded shelters continue to flood during repeated storms.

More than 67,000 displaced Palestinians are sheltering in 83 UNRWA sites, many damaged or partially collapsed. Fuel shortages have forced cuts to generator hours, limiting access to clean water and sanitation. Aid workers report rising cases of skin infections and respiratory illness.

UN officials warned that families “continue to face extreme hardship” as they live in damaged homes or makeshift shelters with limited access to food, water, and medical care. Essential medicines remain critically low, with nearly half of all essential drugs out of stock.

With tens of thousands killed, hundreds of thousands displaced, and aid access still restricted, UN agencies say Gaza’s humanitarian crisis is entering another dangerous phase.

The Health Ministry in Gaza reported that 72,268 Palestinians have been killed and 171,995 injured since 7 October 2023.

Since the “ceasefire” declared on October 11, 2025, the Ministry confirms 692 killed, 1,895 injured, and 756 bodies recovered.

Health officials stressed that additional victims remain under the rubble and in areas unreachable due to ongoing Israeli fire and the lack of rescue equipment.
