Two Palestinians were killed and several others injured on Thursday as Israeli occupation forces continued military attacks across the devastated Gaza Strip, including airstrikes, artillery shelling, and live fire, in ongoing violations of the ceasefire agreement.
In Gaza City, Israeli warplanes assassinated Colonel Jamal Mahmoud Abu Kamil, 43, the Director of Police in Gaza Governorate, after targeting his vehicle on the Rashid Street southwest of the city. The Palestinian Interior Ministry said Abu Kamil was killed in a strike carried out by Israeli fighter jets.

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society reported that its crews transported Abu Kamil and several wounded civilians to the Shifa Hospital in Gaza City following the attack.
Israeli artillery also shelled the Zeitoun neighborhood southeast of Gaza City, accompanied by live fire from military vehicles.

In southern Gaza, a Palestinian man, identified as Huthaifa Kaware’, was killed in an Israeli strike targeting the Al-Amal neighborhood west of Khan Younis.
Medical sources also reported that several Palestinians were injured when an Israeli drone targeted a motorcycle near the Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) building in the same area. The wounded were transferred to Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis.
Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) warned that restrictions on the entry of engine oil and spare parts into Gaza are putting hospitals, ambulances, water systems, and other essential services at increasing risk of collapse.

Furthermore, Israeli military vehicles stationed east of the Khan Younis city opened fire toward western areas, while an Israeli tank advanced along at-Tina Street south of the city.
Israeli forces also fired directly toward tents sheltering displaced Palestinians in the Al-Iqlimi and Bir 19 areas of the Al-Mawasi region in Khan Younis.
Meanwhile, Israeli forces intensified artillery bombardment northwest of Beit Lahia in northern Gaza, while carrying out demolition operations, tank shelling, and heavy gunfire east of the town.

Additional artillery shelling was reported north of the Al-Bureij refugee camp and nearby areas in central Gaza.
Since the “ceasefire” took effect on October 11, 2025, health officials have documented 1,260 Palestinians killed, 4,154 injured, and 808 bodies recovered from previously inaccessible areas.
The overall death toll since Israel began its genocide in Gaza on October 7, 2023, has risen to at least 73,389, with more than 174,266 wounded. Numerous victims remain trapped under the rubble or in areas unreachable by rescue and civil defense teams due to continued Israeli attacks and extensive destruction.
