The Israeli occupation authorities have illegally confiscated 57,252 dunams of land in the village of Kufur Qaddoum, east of Qalqilya in the occupied West Bank, under a military and security order.
A statement issued by the Wall and Colonization Resistance Commission on Monday revealed that the order, T/65/24, aims to create a buffer zone around the “Kedumim” illegal colony, built on stolen Palestinian lands, and is valid until December 31, 2028.
The Commission explained that the confiscated Palestinian lands are around the “Kedumim” colony, to the east of Kafr Qaddoum, and align longitudinally with Road No. 55.
Besides illegally annexing the Palestinian lands, the order would also deprive citizens of accessing hundreds of dunams of their lands around the illegal colony.
On Monday evening, paramilitary Israeli colonizers invaded the village of Rantis, northwest of Ramallah in the occupied West Bank’s central part, and trapped a young man in an agricultural field before Israeli soldiers abducted another citizen.
Also Monday, a group of fanatic, illegal paramilitary Israeli colonizers, stole olive harvest in the Wadi al-Rababa neighborhood of Silwan, south of the Al-Aqsa Mosque, in the occupied Palestinian capital, Jerusalem, in the West Bank.
All of Israel’s colonies in the occupied West Bank, including those in and around occupied East Jerusalem, are illegal under International Law, the Fourth Geneva Convention in addition to various United Nations and Security Council resolutions. They also constitute war crimes under International Law.
Article 49 of the Fourth Geneva Convention states: “The Occupying Power shall not deport or transfer parts of its own civilian population into the territory it occupies.” It also prohibits the “individual or mass forcible transfers, as well as deportations of protected persons from occupied territory.”
