Illegal paramilitary Israeli colonizers carried out a series of coordinated attacks across the occupied West Bank on Wednesday, abducting and assaulting Palestinians, seizing homes and property, invading agricultural land, and destroying structures in areas spanning Qalqilia in the northwestern West Bank, Nablus in the northern West Bank, Tubas in the northeastern West Bank, and Hebron in the southern West Bank.
A Palestinian man suffered bruises and fractures east of Qalqilia after colonizers abducted and assaulted him.
Local sources said the attackers seized Yusuf Mustafa Shtawi from the village of Kufur Qaddum, beat him severely, and dumped him in a remote area near the village. He was later transferred to hospital for treatment.
In Beit Imrin northwest of Nablus, groups of colonizers invaded Palestinian‑owned land and released their livestock among homes and agricultural plots classified as Area A.
Residents said the village has faced constant attacks, particularly since a new colonial outpost was established on one of the surrounding hilltops.
In Huwara south of Nablus, colonizers seized an unfinished home belonging to resident Sami Saleh Ismail Ahmad.
Rana Abu Haniyya, head of public relations at the Huwara Municipality, said municipal crews had attempted to install protective barriers around the structure days earlier, but Israeli forces invaded the area and forced them to leave.
In Khirbet Yarza east of Tubas, colonizers assaulted international and local solidarity activists who were attempting to prevent them from grazing livestock on Palestinian farmland.
Mukhles Masa’id, head of the local council, said the attack came two days after colonizer violence forced eleven Palestinian families to dismantle their homes and leave the area.
In Masafer Yatta south of Hebron, armed colonizers burned a residential structure and destroyed another on Wednesday evening.
Activist Osama Makhamra said colonizers set fire to the home of Ismail Abu ‘Arram in the area of Khirbet Abu al‑Halawa, destroying furniture, a cart, and other belongings. The family had already evacuated the home two weeks earlier due to repeated colonizer attacks.
In the nearby area of Khallet al‑Hummus, colonizers from the colony of Susiya invaded the home of Ashraf Nassar, smashing surveillance cameras, damaging fruit trees, and stealing solar‑powered floodlights before withdrawing.
All of Israel’s colonies in the occupied West Bank, including those in and around occupied East Jerusalem, are illegal under International Law, the Fourth Geneva Convention in addition to various United Nations and Security Council resolutions. They also constitute war crimes under International Law.
Article 33 of the Fourth Geneva Convention prohibits collective punishment and acts of terror against civilian populations.
Article 49 of the Fourth Geneva Convention states: “The Occupying Power shall not deport or transfer parts of its own civilian population into the territory it occupies.” It also prohibits the “individual or mass forcible transfers, as well as deportations of protected persons from occupied territory”.
Articles 53 and 147, prohibit the destruction of civilian property and classify pillage as a war crime.
