A group of illegal paramilitary Israeli colonizers invaded a Bedouin community east of the village of Rammun, east of Ramallah in the occupied West Bank’s central part, on Wednesday evening, assaulting residents and seizing livestock.

Local sources reported that dozens of colonizers stormed the area, which is home to two Bedouin families, and physically assaulted several residents.

Emergency medical teams treated four individuals for injuries and bruises, all of whom were transferred to hospital for further care. Witnesses said the colonizers also stole a flock of sheep belonging to the families.

The Al-Baydar Organization for the Protection of Bedouin Rights condemned the attack, stating that the settlers carried out the theft and assault with full military cover.

The organization described the incident as part of a broader campaign targeting the livelihoods of Palestinian communities, particularly those reliant on livestock and agriculture.

“This latest crime reflects the ongoing collusion between Israeli forces and illegal paramilitary colonizers,” the organization said. “Instead of preventing attacks, the military provides protection, encouraging further violence and deepening the suffering of rural and Bedouin populations.”

According to the Colonization & Wall Resistance Commission, Israeli colonizers carried out 431 documented assaults against Palestinians and their property across the West Bank in August alone. These ranged from armed invasions of villages and towns to land seizures, summary executions, and the destruction of farmland and olive groves.

The attack near Rammun is part of a pattern of daily incursions designed to displace Palestinian communities and entrench settler control.

Rights groups warn that such actions violate international law and contribute to the fragmentation of Palestinian society under occupation.

On Saturday evening, a seriously wounded Palestinian young man died of his injuries, after he was shot by illegal Israeli colonizers in village of Deir Jarir, east of Ramallah in the central occupied West Bank.

Media sources said that the young man, Mohammad Issa Alawi, 20, succumbed to critical gunshot wounds in Deir Jarir on Friday morning.

All of Israel’s colonies in the occupied West Bank, including those in and around occupied East Jerusalem, are illegal under International Law, the Fourth Geneva Convention in addition to various United Nations and Security Council resolutions. They also constitute war crimes under International Law.

Article 33 of the Fourth Geneva Convention prohibits collective punishment and acts of terror against civilian populations.

Article 49 of the Fourth Geneva Convention states: “The Occupying Power shall not deport or transfer parts of its own civilian population into the territory it occupies.” It also prohibits the “individual or mass forcible transfers, as well as deportations of protected persons from occupied territory”.

Articles 53 and 147, which prohibit the destruction of civilian property and classify pillage as a war crime.

Since the beginning of this year, 204 Palestinians, including 39 children and 4 women were killed by Israeli fire, among them 9 who were killed by illegal paramilitary colonizers.
