On Saturday, a group of illegal paramilitary Israeli colonizers attacked Palestinian farmers and cars near the al-Mughayyir village northeast of Ramallah in the occupied West Bank’s central part.
Amin Abu Alia, the head of al-Mughayyir Village Council, said the colonizers hurled stones at the Palestinian farmers and cars on the western entrance of the village, especially of the road leading to the nearby Abu Falah village.
Abu Alia added that the attacks caused damage to a few Palestinian cars and added that no injuries were reported.
Also Saturday, Israeli soldiers invaded a Bedouin community in the western area of Abu Falah village, before detaining and interrogating many Palestinians while inspecting their ID cards.
The army threatened to shoot any Palestinian who approaches the near illegal colonialist outpost, built on lands stolen from the villagers.
In related news, Israeli soldiers invaded Kafr Malek and Kafr Ni’ma village, in the central West Bank governorate of Ramallah, closed streets and searched a home in Kafr Malek.
All of Israel’s colonies in the occupied West Bank, including those in and around occupied East Jerusalem, are illegal under International Law, the Fourth Geneva Convention in addition to various United Nations and Security Council resolutions. They also constitute war crimes under International Law.
Article 49 of the Fourth Geneva Convention states: “The Occupying Power shall not deport or transfer parts of its own civilian population into the territory it occupies.” It also prohibits the “individual or mass forcible transfers, as well as deportations of protected persons from occupied territory”.
