On Sunday evening, illegal Israeli colonizers attacked many Palestinian cars and assaulted the passengers near the Al-Lubban Ash-Sharqiya village, south of Nablus, in the northern part of the occupied West Bank.
Eyewitnesses said the colonizers gathered near the junction of the illegal Eli colony, built on stolen Palestinian lands south of the Al-Lubban Ash-Sharqiya.
They added that the colonizers closed the main street, forcing many Palestinian cars to stop, and attacked the car and the Palestinians inside them.
Israeli soldiers were present in the area of the attacks but did not intervene or even attempt to remove the colonizers.
Israel’s colonies in the occupied West Bank, including those in and around occupied East Jerusalem, are illegal under International Law, the Fourth Geneva Convention, and various United Nations and Security Council resolutions. They also constitute war crimes under International Law.
Article 49 of the Fourth Geneva Convention states: “The Occupying Power shall not deport or transfer parts of its own civilian population into the territory it occupies.” It also prohibits the “individual or mass forcible transfers, as well as deportations of protected persons from occupied territory.”
