Illegal paramilitary Israeli colonizers attacked Palestinian civilians on Tuesday by spraying pepper gas at people passing near the Mikhmas roundabout north of Ramallah in the central occupied West Bank.
Local sources said several Palestinians suffered breathing difficulties and irritation as a result of the attack.
Residents from nearby communities intervened and managed to push the colonizers away, forcing them to flee the area.
The assault is part of a continuing pattern of colonizer violence targeting Palestinian civilians across the occupied West Bank.
These attacks frequently include assaulting residents, breaking into homes, firing live rounds which results in killing and wounding dozens, and torching property.

The most recent deadly incident occurred on March 8, in the village of Abu Falah east of Ramallah, where three Palestinians were killed, two were killed by colonizers and one died from severe effects of teargas inhalation after Israeli soldiers attacked the Palestinians in the same incident.
On Monday March 2, Israeli colonizers killed two Palestinian brothers and injured several others on Monday, after invading the village of Qaryut, south of Nablus in the northern occupied West Bank.
Human rights groups and international observers have documented a sharp escalation in coordinated colonizer attacks over the past year, often carried out in the presence of Israeli soldiers who fail to intervene or provide protection to Palestinian civilians.
Palestinian communities warn that the ongoing violence, combined with the absence of accountability, continues to endanger lives and destabilize the region.
