On Monday, a group of illegal paramilitary Israel colonizers burnt privately-owned Palestinian agricultural land in the town of Nahalin, west of Bethlehem, in the occupied West Bank.

The WAFA News Agency said the paramilitary colonizers invaded an area in the town and torched at least ten dunums, planted with olive trees and grapevines.

In related news, Israeli soldiers installed a military roadblock in the southern part of the town, stopped and searched dozens of cars, and interrogated many Palestinians while inspecting their ID cards.

It is worth mentioning that the serious violations by the paramilitary Israeli colonizers against Palestinians and their properties witnesses a serious escalation since October 7, 2023.

The violations included physical attack against Palestinian civilians, many resulted in fatalities, in addition to the destruction of homes, property and the uprooting of lands.

All of Israel’s colonies in the occupied West Bank, including those in and around occupied East Jerusalem, are illegal under International Law, the Fourth Geneva Convention in addition to various United Nations and Security Council resolutions. They also constitute war crimes under International Law.

Article 49 of the Fourth Geneva Convention states“The Occupying Power shall not deport or transfer parts of its own civilian population into the territory it occupies.” It also prohibits the “individual or mass forcible transfers, as well as deportations of protected persons from occupied territory.”
