On Saturday evening, illegal paramilitary Israeli colonizers invaded a Palestinian Bedouin community northeast of the occupied Palestinian capital, Jerusalem, in the occupied West Bank, and fired live rounds before burning a home and a car.
Hasan Mleihat, the supervisor of the Al-Baidar Organization for Defending Bedouin Rights, stated in a press release that the paramilitary colonizers invaded the Bedouin community, east of Jaba’ village, north of Jerusalem, and fired many live rounds.
Mleihat added that the colonizers burnt a home and a car owned by Daoud Mousa Ka’abna and tried to destroy more property.
The paramilitary colonizers also gathered on streets and areas around the community and nearby areas.
All of Israel’s colonies in the occupied West Bank, including those in and around occupied East Jerusalem, are illegal under International Law, the Fourth Geneva Convention in addition to various United Nations and Security Council resolutions. They also constitute war crimes under International Law.
Article 49 of the Fourth Geneva Convention states: “The Occupying Power shall not deport or transfer parts of its own civilian population into the territory it occupies.” It also prohibits the “individual or mass forcible transfers, as well as deportations of protected persons from occupied territory.”
