For more than two weeks, Israeli colonizers continued the installation of fences around large areas of grazing Palestinian lands in the Northern Plains of the occupied West Bank.
Mo’taz Bisharat, a Palestinian official in charge of Israeli illegal colonies’ file at the Palestinian Authority In Tubas, in the northeastern West Bank, said the colonizers invaded and occupied Palestinian grazing lands two weeks ago and started installing fences to prevent the Palestinians from entering them.
Bisharat added that the illegally annexed lands, approximately 1080 Dunams, are located east of the Ein Al-Hilwa area.
The colonizers have been assaulting dozens of Palestinian shepherds and their livestock, preventing them from entering grazing lands, an issue that is threatening the shepherds’ livelihood and their only sources of income.
Ein Al-Hilwa is located in a vital area linking many communities and towns in the Northern Plains of the Jordan Valley in the West Bank.
The area has been subject to constant and escalating Israeli violations, including assaults against farmers and shepherds, their homes, lands, and even their livestock.
Last year, the colonizers installed an outpost on stolen Palestinian lands in the Khallet Khader area in the Northern Plains to install a segregated “Public Park.”
Human rights activist Aref Daraghma said the colonizers invaded the area and started the installation of an outpost, including building wooden benches and placing umbrellas and other facilities, after forcing the Palestinian landowner out.
Daraghma also said that, at the time, Israeli soldiers demolished several structures, including the residence of the Palestinian.
The colonizers also occupied the nearby Ein al-Hilwa spring and installed a park after forcing the Palestinians out of their lands.
