On Monday evening, illegal paramilitary Israeli colonizers invaded Palestinian lands in Masafer Yatta, south of Hebron in the occupied West Bank’s southern part, demolished two sheds, and a barn, and broke and cut trees, in addition to chasing farmers and shepherds.
The colonizers invaded lands, owned by Khader Nawaj’a in Susiya village, before demolishing two sheds, a barn, and retaining walls, and also uprooted and broke more than ten grape vines.
The colonizers also attacked the family of Jihad Nawaj’a, the head of the Susiya village Council, while working on their land, chased shepherds, and forced Palestinian farmers out of their lands in the Wad Al-Jawa area, east of Yatta.
In addition, the army invaded and ransacked many Palestinian homes in Jinba village in Masafer Yatta.
In related news, the colonizers shot two Palestinians, including a child, and burned a vehicle and a citizen’s home in the town of Asira al-Qibliya, southwest of Nablus in the northern occupied West Bank.
All of Israel’s colonies in the occupied West Bank, including those in and around occupied East Jerusalem, are illegal under International Law, the Fourth Geneva Convention in addition to various United Nations and Security Council resolutions. They also constitute war crimes under International Law.
Article 49 of the Fourth Geneva Convention states: “The Occupying Power shall not deport or transfer parts of its own civilian population into the territory it occupies.” It also prohibits the “individual or mass forcible transfers, as well as deportations of protected persons from occupied territory”.
