Earlier Monday, a group of illegal Israeli paramilitary colonizers invaded Palestinian lands and established a colonial outpost in the Um al-Kheir Palestinian village, located in Masafer Yatta, south of Hebron, in the southern part of the occupied West Bank.
Osama Makhamra, a local activist opposing Israel’s illegal colonial activities, reported that the colonizers originated from the illegal Carmiel colony, built on stolen Palestinian lands.
He stated that the colonizers set up an outpost on confiscated land, placing several mobile homes and a tent near the residents’ houses.
Additionally, the colonizers bulldozed Palestinian lands and planted trees in the area, effectively surrounding the village with outposts.
On Saturday, a Palestinian man was injured after being attacked by illegal paramilitary Israeli colonizers who unleashed their dogs on him while he was plowing his land in the southern area of Hebron.
Also Saturday, a group of illegal paramilitary Israeli colonizers attacked Palestinian farmers and cars near the al-Mughayyir village northeast of Ramallah in the occupied West Bank’s central part.
All of Israel’s colonies in the occupied West Bank, including those in and around occupied East Jerusalem, are illegal under International Law, the Fourth Geneva Convention in addition to various United Nations and Security Council resolutions. They also constitute war crimes under International Law.
Article 49 of the Fourth Geneva Convention states: “The Occupying Power shall not deport or transfer parts of its own civilian population into the territory it occupies.” It also prohibits the “individual or mass forcible transfers, as well as deportations of protected persons from occupied territory”.
