On Friday, illegal Israeli colonizers injured a young man near Burin village, south of Nablus, in the northern part of the occupied West Bank.
Media sources said a traffic accident between a Palestinian car and an Israeli car occurred near the entrance of the Yitzhar illegal colony before the colonizers stepped out of their car and repeatedly struck the young man.
Ahmad Jubril, the head of the Nablus branch of the Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS), said the Palestinian, Mohammad Ghareeb, suffered various lacerations and bruises before being rushed to a hospital in Nablus.
It is worth mentioning that Yitzhar was built on stolen lands owned by Palestinians from six villages south of Nablus.
All of Israel’s colonies in the occupied West Bank, including those in and around occupied East Jerusalem, are illegal under International Law, the Fourth Geneva Convention in addition to various United Nations and Security Council resolutions. They also constitute war crimes under International Law.
Article 49 of the Fourth Geneva Convention states: “The Occupying Power shall not deport or transfer parts of its own civilian population into the territory it occupies.” It also prohibits the “individual or mass forcible transfers, as well as deportations of protected persons from occupied territory”.
