Several Palestinians were injured at dawn Thursday after illegal paramilitary Israeli colonizers attacked residents in the Safeh–Tayasir area, northeast of Tubas in the occupied West Bank’s northeastern part.
Local sources said the colonizers advanced toward Palestinian homes and agricultural lands shortly before sunrise and assaulted residents with sticks, stones, and other objects.
Several Palestinians sustained injuries; some of them were transferred to the hospital for treatment.
Residents added that the assault triggered panic among families, especially given the repeated attacks in the same area in recent weeks.
Safeh–Tayasir has witnessed multiple colonizer assaults targeting herders, farmers, and vehicles, often carried out under the protection of Israeli occupation forces.
The attack comes amid a broader escalation across the occupied West Bank, including the Tubas district, where colonizers have intensified their violence in Ras al-Ahmar, Atouf, and the eastern slopes, injuring Palestinians and attempting to seize livestock and farmland.
On Wednesday, a Palestinian worker, Yosri Majed Abu Qbeita, 31, was killed and eight others were injured, one seriously, after Israeli forces and illegal paramilitary Israeli colonizers pursued workers’ vehicles and opened live fire at them in Masafer Yatta, south of Hebron in the southern occupied West Bank, causing several vehicles to overturn.
