On Thursday, illegal paramilitary Israeli colonizers invaded Palestinian lands, south of the West Bank city of Bethlehem, and installed mobile homes to expand an existing illegal colonialist outpost. The colonizers also fired live rounds at buildings and a power transformer near Nablus.

Mohammad Aziz, the coordinator of the Wall & Colonization Resistance Commission in Bethlehem, said the colonizers came from the Givat Eitam illegal outpost that was built on stolen Palestinian lands near Wad Rahhal village, south of Bethlehem.

Aziz added that the colonizers installed the mobile homes on Palestinian lands in the Khallet An-Nahla area near Wad Rahhal, to expand their illegal outpost.

It is worth mentioning that the colonizers recently escalated their violations against the village, especially the Khallet An-Nahla area, and installed four mobile homes, just a week ago, in addition to illegally annexing privately-owned Palestinian lands after preventing their owners from entering them.

In related news, paramilitary Israeli colonizers fired live rounds at a shop, a carpentry workshop, and an electricity transformer in the Naqoura village, northwest of the northern West Bank city of Nablus, causing damage and a power blackout in the village.

All of Israel’s colonies in the occupied West Bank, including those in and around occupied East Jerusalem, are illegal under International Law, the Fourth Geneva Convention in addition to various United Nations and Security Council resolutions. They also constitute war crimes under International Law.

Article 49 of the Fourth Geneva Convention states: “The Occupying Power shall not deport or transfer parts of its own civilian population into the territory it occupies.” It also prohibits the “individual or mass forcible transfers, as well as deportations of protected persons from occupied territory.”
