Illegal Israeli colonizers shot and killed a Palestinian young man on Saturday evening after invading the village of Deir Jarir, east of Ramallah in the central occupied West Bank.

The Palestinian Health Ministry announced that the young man, Ali Majed Hamadna, 23, was killed by Israeli colonizers in the village of Deir Jarir.

The Ministry added that the young man died at the Palestine Medical Complex in Ramallah shortly after his arrival as a result of a critical gunshot wound to the back.

The head of the Deir Jarir village council, Fathi Hamdan, told the WAFA News Agency that armed Israeli settlers infiltrated the western part of the village, firing live rounds at civilians.

Hamdan added that the armed settlers shot a Palestinian young man in the back with live ammunition; he was transported to the hospital for treatment.


In related news, Israeli forces shot and killed the young man Alaa Khaled Mohammad Sbeih, 28, on Wednesday, after illegal settlers stormed the village of Tayasir, east of Tubas in the northwestern part of the West Bank.

A number of colonizers stormed Tayasir village, sparking confrontations with local citizens, followed by the arrival of occupation forces who shot a young man with live ammunition, detained him, and prevented medical crews from reaching him.

Since the beginning of the Israeli military aggression against the Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023, occupation forces and settlers have killed 1149 Palestinian citizens in the occupied West Bank, including 237 children and 28 women.

In the Jenin governorate, 311 Palestinians have been killed, while 213 were killed in Tulkarem, 148 in Nablus, 116 in Hebron, 103 in Tubas, 88 in Ramallah, 66 in Jerusalem, 44 in Qalqilia, 37 in Bethlehem, 15 in Jericho and the Jordan Valley, and 8 in Salfit, according to the Shireen Observatory.
