An Israeli drone strike killed two Palestinian young men, on Thursday, and injured at least seven others, including one critically, in the Balata refugee camp, east of Nablus, while two others were shot during the army’s storming of the northern West Bank city of Nablus.

Media sources said that an Israeli drone strike killed two Palestinian citizens and injured seven others, before dawn Thursday, in the Balata refugee camp, east of Nablus in the northern West Bank.

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) confirmed the death of two young men, and the injury of seven others, including a child and a woman, as a result of a drone strike which targeted a group of citizens in the Balata camp.

Media sources said that the missile strike killed the two young men, Ahmad Firas Sheikh Khalil, 20, and Wael Bilal Shaker Mish’a, 18, from Balata camp, and injured seven others, including one critically.

The PRCS added that its ambulance crews transported one of the slain young men from Balata camp to hospital in Nablus, noting that soldiers impeded the work of the ambulance crews.

Before midnight on Wednesday/Thursday, occupation forces invaded the eastern part of Nablus city, accompanied by a military bulldozer, sparking protests.

Media sources said that occupation forces stormed the eastern region of the city of Nablus and in the vicinity of the Balata and Askar refugee camps, and positioned sharpshooters on the rooftops of tall buildings.

It is important to mention that the occupation army invaded the area in order to secure the storming of Joseph’s Tomb by illegal Israeli colonizers.

Israeli forces opened fire with live rounds, shooting two, one who sustained a live gunshot wound to the knee and another who sustained a shrapnel injury to the eye; they were transported to hospital.

The PRCS also transported two young men to hospital, one who sustained injuries from a fall, and another who was run over by a military jeep, and added that occupation soldiers interfered with the work of ambulances.

Media sources added that the military bulldozer caused destruction to citizens’ vehicles during the attack on Nablus city.

On Thursday afternoon, Palestinians gathered in front of Rafidia Hospital in Nablus and carried the bodies of the slain young men to the Balata camp.

There, loved ones said their final goodbyes before laying their bodies to rest in the Martyrs’ cemetery in the camp.

Israeli forces have now killed 632 Palestinians, including 147 children and 9 women, in various parts of the occupied West Bank, since the beginning of the Israeli military onslaught against the Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023.

In related news, Israeli forces killed, on Wednesday, five Palestinians, including a child, in the city of Tubas and the town of Tammun, in the northeastern part of the occupied West Bank.
