Israeli forces abducted one Palestinian, on Thursday afternoon, and injured dozens of others in separate parts of the occupied West Bank, local sources reported.
Soldiers stationed at a military roadblock at the southern entrance of Jericho, in the northeastern West Bank, abducted a Palestinian young man while he attempted to pass through.
The head of the Palestinian Prisoners’ Society in Jericho, Eid Brahma, reported that soldiers abducted Salem Youssef Nujoom, 21, a resident of the Aqabat Jaber refugee camp, after stopping his vehicle and searching him.
It is important to mention that Israeli forces abducted 30 Palestinians earlier Thursday, after storming and invading numerous homes in various parts of the occupied West Bank.
On Thursday evening Israeli forces fired at Palestinians who protested the army presence in Al-Khader town, south of Bethlehem in the southern West Bank.
Soldiers opened fire with live rounds, concussion grenades, and tear gas canisters at Palestinian youths in the “al-Tal” area in the town. No injuries were reported.
Meanwhile on Thursday night, soldiers stormed the northern West Bank village of Zabuba, west of Jenin, which sparked protests among local Palestinian youths.
Soldiers fired tear gas canisters at those who resisted the military incursion, causing many of them to sustain inhalation injuries from tear gas exposure.
