Israeli occupation forces carried out widespread invasions across the occupied West Bank at dawn on Thursday, breaking into homes, assaulting residents, and abducting dozens of Palestinians from multiple districts, including Tulkarem, Qalqilia, Nablus, Tubas, Hebron, Ramallah, and occupied Jerusalem.
In Tulkarem in the northwestern West Bank, soldiers invaded several neighborhoods and broke into homes, abducting three residents, including a woman.
Local sources said the abducted individuals are Sundus Lafdawi, 33, taken from her home in the eastern neighborhood; Ahmad Matrouk, 55, a former political prisoner; and Fadi Matar, 45, a former political prisoner from the Tulkarem refugee camp, taken from his home in the Shweika suburb.
In the village of Jayyous, east of Qalqilia in the northwestern West Bank, Israeli forces invaded the area at dawn from the southern entrance and deployed throughout the western and eastern neighborhoods and the Wadi area.
Soldiers broke into numerous homes and abducted at least thirteen Palestinians. Home invasions continued for hours as troops remained positioned across the village.
In Nablus in the northern West Bank, Israeli forces abducted seventeen Palestinians during invasions targeting the eastern area of the city, the Askar refugee camp, and surrounding villages.
Soldiers broke into homes in Askar and the Popular Housing area, abducting several residents. Additional invasions targeted Asira ash-Shamaliya north of Nablus and Tell southwest of the city, where soldiers ransacked homes and abducted the deputy mayor of Asira ash-Shamaliya along with several others.
In Beita, south of Nablus, troops abducted three residents after breaking into their homes. In Kafr Qalil, south of the city, soldiers surrounded a home, broke into it, and abducted Fadi Al-Qanni.
Meanwhile, illegal paramilitary Israeli colonizers attacked the Shakara community in the town of Douma, south of Nablus.
Invasions in Tammun and the Far’a refugee camp and Wadi al-Far’a, south of Tubas in the northeastern West Bank, lasted nearly four hours. Soldiers abducted two children, Ahmad Hussein Abdullah Bisharat, 16, and Nada Eyad Ahmad Odah, 17, after breaking into homes. Several residents were detained for field interrogation before being released.
In Hebron in the southern West Bank, Israeli forces abducted six Palestinians, including a young woman, and invaded a hospital. In Beit Awwa, west of Hebron, soldiers broke into homes, ransacked them, and turned the home of Samir Masalma into a military post before abducting four residents.
From the Al-Fawwar refugee camp, southwest of Hebron, the army abducted Jana Ihsan Abu Warda after breaking into her family’s home, and Ashraf Abu Aqeel from the town of As-Samu’ after detaining and assaulting him near the Al-Fawwar junction.
Soldiers also invaded Mohammad Ali Al-Muhtaseb Hospital in southern Hebron, damaging property and assaulting patients and medical staff. In Masafer Yatta, south of Hebron, the army invaded Khirbet Al-Majaz, damaging several homes and structures.
At the same time, Israeli forces tightened their siege on Hebron, closing all roads and entrances connecting the city to surrounding towns and villages.
In occupied Jerusalem, Israeli forces invaded the home of recently released prisoner Musab Dweiyat in Sur Baher, assaulted his father, and damaged property.
Dweiyat had been released two days earlier after serving ten years in Israeli prisons. In Silwan, south of Al-Aqsa Mosque, soldiers invaded the Wadi Qaddum neighborhood and fired tear gas.
In Beit Hanina, north of the city, troops assaulted and detained several young men. Illegal paramilitary Israeli colonizers, accompanied by soldiers, also invaded the Jabal al-Baba Bedouin community near Al-Eizariya, southeast of occupied Jerusalem.
In the Ramallah and al-Bireh district in the central West Bank, Israeli forces abducted Saba Nazih Al-Barghouthi after breaking into her home in Deir Ghassana, northwest of Ramallah.
Soldiers also invaded Beit Rima west of Ramallah, Al-Mazra’a al-Sharqiya east of Ramallah, and Beit ‘Ur al-Tahta to the west. In Kafr Malik, northeast of Ramallah, troops installed a military roadblock, stopped vehicles, interrogated residents, and caused a severe traffic jam.
The soldiers also invaded Al-Mughayyir, northeast of Ramallah, and fired many gas bombs at homes in a few neighborhoods.
In addition, illegal paramilitary Israeli colonizers, backed by soldiers, seized a Palestinian vehicle at the entrance of Umm Safa, northeast of Ramallah.
In Jericho and the Aqabat Jabr refugee camp in the northeastern West Bank, Israeli forces invaded several areas and abducted three residents after breaking into their homes.
They have been identified as Walid Mohammad Barahma, William Mohammad Barahma, Tareq Mousa and Sammour Ermeila.
