Israeli occupation forces abducted dozens of Palestinians and detained many more during overnight invasions across several governorates in the occupied West Bank early Wednesday.

In Nablus, in northern West Bank, soldiers invaded the city’s refugee camps, the Old City, and Balata al-Balad, abducting 17 Palestinians.

Several others were detained, subjected to field interrogations, and released after hours of questioning.

The soldiers also invaded the eastern area of Nablus city, stormed and ransacked a shop, causing considerable damage.

In Jenin governorate, in northern West Bank, Israeli forces abducted two former political prisoners from the towns of Arraba and Bir al-Basha.

In Qalqilia, in northwestern West Bank, two young men were abducted after soldiers invaded the city, searched, and ransacked homes.

In Tulkarem, in northwestern West Bank, the soldiers stormed and ransacked several homes and abducted a young man.

In Jericho, in northeastern West Bank, 13 Palestinians were abducted from the city and Aqabat Jabr refugee camp after their homes were invaded and searched. A number of houses were converted into makeshift military posts, leaving families displaced.

In Hebron, in southern West Bank, seven Palestinians were abducted from the town of Beit Ummar, north of the city, following violent home invasions, searches, and vandalism of property amid cold and rainy weather.

In addition, dozens of illegal paramilitary Israeli colonizers, under heavy accompaniment from occupation forces, invaded the Qizoun area of Hebron city.

Eyewitnesses reported that Israeli forces stormed the “Kawtshouk” junction in northeastern Hebron, sealing off the area and blocking main roads to prevent Palestinian movement, in order to secure the colonizers’ march.

They added that dozens of colonizers from the illegal colony of Kharsina, built on Palestinian land east of the city, advanced in a provocative procession through the area. They waved Israeli flags and chanted racist slogans hostile to the local Palestinian residents.

In Bethlehem governorate, in southeastern West Bank, a young man was abducted from his home in the town of Tuquʿ.

The soldiers also invaded Husan village, west of Bethlehem, and closed streets, leading to protests, before they fired live round, gas bombs and concussion grenades.

In Salfit, in central West Bank, dozens of young men were detained during an invasion of the city. They were subjected to field interrogations and severe beatings before being released.

In Ramallah, in central West Bank, soldiers invaded several villages and towns, firing flares in ‘Aroura northwest of the city, and ransacking homes in al-Mazra’a ash-Sharqiya, where several residents were detained and abducted.

Dozens of military vehicles also invaded Silwad town, north east of Ramallah, before the soldiers closed streets and initiates searches.

In Abu Dis, east of occupied Jerusalem, Israeli forces detained around 20 Palestinians during wide-scale invasions.

The detainees were taken to Abu Dis Club, which was converted into a field interrogation center, where they were subjected to questioning, mistreatment, and physical assault before being released later in the day.

Locals noted that on Tuesday, Israeli forces also invaded Al-Quds University in Abu Dis, deploying military vehicles across several faculties, causing panic among students.

In addition, Israeli forces abducted former prisoner Nasser Abu Khdeir from Shu’fat, north of occupied Jerusalem, after invading and searching his home.
