Israeli forces abducted, on Saturday, five Palestinians in various regions of the occupied West Bank, and detained many others, while assaulting them.
Jenin
On Saturday night, Israeli forces invaded the town of Ya’bad, west of Jenin in the northern West Bank, and abducted Omar Imad Atatreh.
Nablus
Northwest of Nablus, in the northern West Bank, occupation forces stormed the town of Burqa, on Saturday morning, broke into and ransacked many homes, and abducted the brothers, Hamza and Muhammad Salam Al-Desouki.
In the evening, Israeli soldiers invaded the village of Qaryout, south of Nablus, and deployed sharpshooters on the rooftops of several homes.
Soldiers fired live rounds, concussion grenades and tear gas canisters at local Palestinians, causing several to sustain inhalation injuries.
Media sources added that the army stormed and ransacked the home of Nour Rabah Abbas Odeh, before abducting him.
Jericho
On Saturday afternoon, the army stormed and ransacked the home of Fahd Abdel Muti Muhammad Zubaidat, 35, before abducting him in the village of az-Zubaidat, north of Jericho in the northeastern part of the West Bank.
Hebron
Before midnight, Israeli soldiers detained, interrogated, and assaulted eight Palestinian citizens in the southern West Bank city of Hebron.
South of Hebron, in Masafer Yatta, soldiers assaulted an international solidarity activist and threatened him with arrest if he did not stop documenting the violations of illegal colonizers and soldiers.
It was added that the army imposed a curfew, deployed reconnaissance drones overhead, and detained several citizens while they tried to reach their homes.
According to the Commission of Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs and the Palestinian Prisoners’ Society (PPS), the Israeli army has abducted 7,210 Palestinians since the beginning of its military onslaught against the Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023.
