Israeli occupation forces abducted a young Palestinian man on Saturday evening after pursuing him and opening fire at his vehicle near Tulkarem in the northwestern West Bank.

Local sources said the soldiers chased the vehicle of Ma’n Ziyad Hamed, from ‘Ezbet Shufa southeast of Tulkarem, as he drove through the Wadi Al‑Teen area near the village of Kafa, south of the city.

During the pursuit, the soldiers opened fire on the car before surrounding it and abducting him.

Residents reported that the soldiers blocked the road during the incident and prevented vehicles from passing, while additional military reinforcements arrived in the area. No injuries were reported from the gunfire, aside from damage to the vehicle.

The abduction comes amid a broader escalation of Israeli military violations across the occupied West Bank, including intensified invasions, home break‑ins, and the deployment of military roadblocks restricting Palestinian movement.

It is worth mentioning that Israeli occupation forces carried out multiple invasions across the occupied West Bank on Saturday, abducting Palestinians, assaulting residents, and imposing movement restrictions in several areas, including occupied Jerusalem and Hebron in the southern West Bank.
