Israeli forces assassinated, on Sunday, a Palestinian young man and injured another, in separate incidents in the southern West Bank governorate of Hebron.

Media sources said that occupation forces assassinated the young man, Mohannad Mohammad Mahmoud Al-Asoud, 34, after besieging a home in the center of Hebron city on Sunday afternoon.

Sources added that after surrounding the home, soldiers opened heavy fire towards the home and fired an “Energa” anti-tank grenade at it, killing Al-Aswad, before confiscating his body.

The Ma’an News Agency quoted the occupation army who claimed that the slain young man was the perpetrator of the shooting attack that killed three Israeli police officers near the town of Tarqoumia, west of Hebron earlier on Sunday.

Israeli forces have killed 29 citizens in the past 5 days, including 17 in Jenin Governorate, 4 in Tulkarem, 1 in Qalqilia, 4 in Tubas, and 3 in Hebron, bringing the death toll in the West Bank since October 7, 2023, to 680.

In related news, Israeli soldiers shot a Palestinian worker, on Sunday, while he was near the town of Tarqoumia, west of Hebron.

Media sources said that on Sunday morning, occupation forces opened fire at the young man, Abdul Hafez Suleiman Al-Adam, 25, while he was in the vicinity of the illegal Apartheid Wall, west of Tarqoumia town.

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) transported a young man who had sustained live gunshot wounds to the hand and leg, to the Doura Governmental Hospital.

Media sources added that the army shot the young man with live ammunition while he was attempting to reach his workplace inside of Israel.
