Israeli occupation forces bulldozed Palestinian‑owned land and uprooted olive trees in the village of Ein Yabrud in the central occupied West Bank, east of Ramallah, as part of ongoing military activity targeting agricultural areas.
Local activist Jihad Al‑Qaaq said Israeli forces, accompanied by a military bulldozer, invaded the eastern area of the village near Route 60, where they carried out extensive bulldozing affecting roughly 20 dunams of land. The bulldozing also included the uprooting of many olive trees belonging to local residents.
According to the Wall & Colonization Resistance Commission, Israeli forces and illegal paramilitary Israeli colonizers carried out a total of 1,965 violations across the occupied West Bank during February, reflecting a sustained pattern of attacks on Palestinians, their land, and their property.
These violations included physical assaults, uprooting of trees, burning of fields, confiscation of property, and the demolition of homes and agricultural structures. The Commission noted that Israeli forces continue to close large areas of land under the pretext of “security,” while allowing colonizers to expand their presence in those same areas.
Illegal paramilitary Israeli colonizers also carried out 355 acts of vandalism and theft targeting Palestinian property during the same period.
These attacks resulted in the uprooting, destruction, or poisoning of 1,314 trees, including 1,054 olive trees.
The damage was concentrated in Ramallah in the central West Bank with 731 trees affected, followed by Bethlehem in the southern West Bank with 200, Hebron in the southern West Bank with 183, Nablus in the northern West Bank with 180, and Tulkarem in the northwestern West Bank with 20.
The incidents form part of a broader escalation of land seizures, agricultural destruction, and colonizers’ violence across the occupied West Bank.
