In the early hours of Thursday morning, Israeli occupation forces detonated the home of Palestinian detainee Abdul-Rahim Al-Haimouni in the Abu Kteila neighborhood of Hebron, located in the southern part of the occupied West Bank.

Eyewitnesses and local sources reported that a large convoy of Israeli military vehicles invaded the area, deploying heavily in the Wadi Al-Bassas district of Abu Kteila.

The army sealed off roads, obstructed civilian movement, and unleashed a barrage of live ammunition, stun grenades, and toxic gas toward residential homes and civilian vehicles.

Soldiers then stormed Al-Haimouni’s family home, forcibly evacuating its occupants before conducting detailed measurements of the property. Shortly thereafter, the house was detonated.

Residents described the incursion as one of the most aggressive in recent weeks, citing the scale of military presence and the intensity of firepower used against civilian infrastructure.

It is worth noting that in late June, the Israeli army informed the family of its decision to demolish the property.

Israel accuses Al-Haimouni of carrying out a fatal attack in Jaffa on October 1, 2024, alleging that he used a sharp object and a rifle, killing seven Israelis and injuring fifteen.

Home demolitions are widely condemned as illegal acts of collective punishment targeting entire families, in violation of International Law and all relevant human rights treaties.

In related developments, Israeli forces also invaded the towns of Beit Ummar and Beit Awwa near Hebron, conducting searches before withdrawing.

Also Wednesday, Israeli municipal crews, accompanied by Israeli occupation soldiers, demolished,  two Palestinian homes belonging to the Burqan family in the Wadi Qaddum area of Silwan, south of the Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied Jerusalem.
