Israeli occupation authorities detonated two apartments, on Tuesday, in Sur Baher, south of occupied Jerusalem, belonging to two slain Palestinian brothers who allegedly carried out a shooting in November of 2023.
A large Israeli police force invaded, on Tuesday, the village of Sur Baher, south of occupied Jerusalem, besieged the two apartments of the slain young men, Morad Nimir, 38, and Ibrahim Nimir, 30.
Occupation police closed the roads leading to the apartments and stationed officers at the entrance to the area.
Engineers and explosives experts entered the homes and planted explosives in the walls of a first floor and second floor apartments of the slain men.
Occupation authorities demolished the outer walls of the apartments with heavy machinery.
The two apartments were detonated, leaving five family members homeless, including three children, having committed no crime.
The police prevented citizens from leaving their homes and obstructed the movement of dozens of students trying to reach their homes.
It is important to note that the Israeli police also confiscated birds in their cages, belonging to the family.
The two young men, Morad Nimir, 38, and Ibrahim Nimir, 30, were shot and killed on November 30, 2023, after an alleged shooting attack which killed four illegal Israeli colonizers at a bus stop near the entrance to occupied Jerusalem.
Under International Humanitarian Law, the act of collective punishment is a war crime.
According to Article 33 of the Third Geneva Convention,
1. No protected person may be punished for an offence he or she has not personally committed. Collective penalties and likewise all measures of intimidation or of terrorism are prohibited.
2. Pillage is prohibited.
3. Reprisals against protected persons and their property are prohibited.
