Israeli forces executed a Palestinian young man on Monday evening, after besieging and bombing a home in the northern West Bank city of Nablus.

The Times of Israel reported that the Yamam undercover forces, and the Shin Bet, killed the young man Abdul-Rauf Khaled Shtayyeh, 30.

It added that the soldiers and the Shin Bet had been pursuing Shtayyeh since May 29, 2024 when he allegedly carried out a car-ramming attack at the Awarta military roadblock, which killed 2 Israeli soldiers.

During the invasion, soldiers pursued a young man, who fell from a height and suffered multiple cuts and bruises.

Occupation forces invaded Nablus city from three entrances, at the same time that undercover forces were deployed near the Al-Ghawawi roundabout, in the eastern part of the city.

Israeli army radio announced that the assassination of Abdul-Rauf Shtayyeh was carried out when the army fired two missiles at a building on Amman Street, where he was taking cover.

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) said they received a report about a wounded citizen in a home in the Al-Hisba area, adding that the army blocked ambulance crews from approaching the home.

The WAFA News Agency reported that an unidentified young man was shot and abducted from Nablus city, after a large army force stormed several neighborhoods.

Palestinian resistance fighters exchanged fire with invading forces, in the eastern part of the city, while soldiers fired live ammunition, tear gas canisters and concussion grenades.

WAFA added that occupation forces fired a missile towards a house on Al-Hisba Street in the eastern part of the city, causing a fire and severe damage.

After besieging and storming a citizen’s home on Jaffa Street in the western part of the city, Israeli forces abducted the young men Samer Al-Sadda and Mohammad Al-Shafi’i.

The soldiers also forced 24 Palestinian families out of their homes, and used the properties as military posts in addition to occupying the rooftops to use as monitoring towers and firing posts.

Other military vehicles invaded Yafa Street in western Nablus, surrounded a house, and abducted two young men identified as Samer al-Sidda and Mohammad al-Shafie.

Protests continued in the eastern part of the city, with occupation forces firing live rounds, tear gas, and stun grenades at residents.
