Today, on Wednesday, the Israeli occupation forces pushed bulldozers and heavy construction equipment towards Nour Shams camp to the east of Tulkarem.
A Wafa news correspondent reported that these reinforcements come amid a tight siege that the camp has been under for 291 days, preventing the majority of its residents from returning to their homes from which they were forcibly displaced.
The reporter added that the camp is suffering from widespread destruction, as the occupation forces have completely and partially demolished hundreds of homes and properties, in addition to completely destroying the infrastructure and erecting iron gates at a number of its entrances, which has exacerbated the isolation of the camp and the suffering of its displaced residents.
From time to time, the sounds of heavy gunfire sound inside the camp, at a time when the Israeli occupation’s aggression on the city of Tulkarm and its camp continues for the 304th consecutive day, amid a tight siege, military measures, demolition and destruction of homes, shops and infrastructure, and preventing residents from reaching the camp.
This past Sunday, Israeli occupation forces assaulted international activists in the West Bank who joined Palestinian residents of Nour Shams camp in a sit-in, demanding to return home after more than ten months of being forcibly displaced by the Israeli occupation authorities.
