Israeli forces killed a Palestinian young man, and injured three others, late Tuesday night, after invading the Al-Fawwar refugee camp, north of Hebron in the southern occupied West Bank.

Medical sources at the Yatta Governmental Hospital announced that the young man, Yahya Daniel Awad, 29, succumbed to his critical injuries after occupation forces shot him in the chest with live ammunition.

Media sources said that Israeli soldiers stormed the Al-Fawwar refugee camp before midnight on Tuesday/Wednesday, and broke into several citizens’ homes, sparking protests.



Sources added that occupation forces fired many live rounds and tear gas canisters, shooting four young men with live rounds, including Awad who suffered critical wounds.

Occupation forces shot and injured one young man in the back, another in the thigh, and another in the shoulder; their injuries were described as minor to moderate; they were all transported to the Yatta Governmental Hospital.

It is important to mention that the slain young man was a married father of a young child, and his wife is pregnant with their second child; he was an employee of the Hebron Municipality.


Since the beginning of the Israeli military onslaught against the Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023, Israeli forces have killed 717 Palestinians in the West Bank, including 160 children, and injured 5,700.

The distribution of those killed in the West Bank is as follows; 195 in Jenin, 152 in Tulkarem, 72 in Nablus, 72 in Hebron, 59 in Ramallah, 57 in Tubas, 45 in Jerusalem, 29 in Qalqilia, 19 in Bethlehem, 12 in Jericho, 12 inside Israel, and 4 in Salfit.

Since October 7, 2023, Israeli forces have killed 41,467 Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, most of whom are women and children, and injured 95,921 citizens, while the bodies of thousands of citizens remained buried under the rubble of the devastated coastal enclave.
