Israeli forces killed a young Palestinian man and wounded two others on Tuesday evening, after opening heavy fire towards their vehicle between the villages of Urif and Einabus, south of Nablus in the northern occupied West Bank.
According to the General Authority for Civil Affairs, the young man Qais Sami Jasser Allan (20 years old) was killed after occupation forces fired many live rounds towards his vehicle south of Nablus.
Initially the Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) reported that soldiers blocked ambulance crews from approaching the site, but were able to transport three seriously injured young men to the Rafidia Hospital, adding that they each sustained multiple gunshot wounds.
Media sources reported that soldiers fired a barrage of live rounds towards the vehicle, which was travelling between the villages of Urif and Einabus, causing it to overturn and burst into flames.
The Israeli army claimed that the driver of the vehicle was killed after he allegedly attempted to carry out a car-ramming attack, admitting that no soldiers were injured during the so-called attack.
Since the beginning of the Israeli military aggression against the Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023, occupation forces have killed 1103 Palestinian citizens in the West Bank, including 229 children and 24 women.
In the Jenin governorate, 310 Palestinians have been killed, while 213 were killed in Tulkarem, 139 in Nablus, 105 in Hebron, 98 in Tubas, 81 in Ramallah, 60 in Jerusalem, 42 in Qalqilia, 34 in Bethlehem, 13 in Jericho and the Jordan Valley, and 8 in Salfit, according to the Shireen Observatory.
