Israeli forces fatally shot a Palestinian young man with disabilities, on Friday, after storming the town of Beit Awwa, west of Hebron in the southern occupied West Bank.
According to Mohammad Rabie, the director of the Doura Governmental Hospital, the critically injured young man, Mohammad Ahmad Suleiman Masalma, 23, arrived at the hospital’s emergency department on Friday afternoon.
Rabie added that medical staff performed life-saving measures which failed, and the disabled young man succumbed to a gunshot wound to the chest.
Media sources said that special Israeli forces invaded the town of Beit Awwa, surrounded a home and fired many live rounds at citizens and killing Masalma.
In related news, occupation forces abducted at least one young man during the military incursion into Beit Awwa town.
According to Mohammad Masalma, the Mayor of Beit Awwa, Israeli soldiers abducted the young man, Mithaq Masalma from the town.
In a statement, the Palestinian Red Crescent (PRCS) said, “The occupation forces handed over to their crews a martyr (23 years old) in the town of Beit Awa in Hebron, and he was transferred to the hospital.”
Since the beginning of the Israeli military onslaught against the Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023, Israeli forces have killed 813 Palestinians in the West Bank, including 169 children, and injured 6,450.
The distribution of those killed in the West Bank is as follows; 222 in Jenin, 183 in Tulkarem, 89 in Nablus, 77 in Hebron, 66 in Tubas, 59 in Ramallah, 50 in occupied Jerusalem, 31 in Qalqilia, 20 in Bethlehem, 12 in Jericho, 12 inside Israel, and 4 in Salfit.
Since October 7, 2023, Israeli forces have killed 44,875 Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, most of whom are women and children, and injured 106,454 citizens, while the bodies of thousands of citizens remain buried under the rubble of the devastated coastal enclave.
