Updated: Israeli occupation forces carried out multiple attacks across the Gaza Strip on Monday, killing two Palestinians and injuring others in separate incidents, as artillery shelling, drone fire, naval gunfire, and demolition operations continued in what Palestinian medical and field sources describe as ongoing violations of the ceasefire agreement.
Update: Israeli soldiers fired live rounds at Palestinians, east of Deir Al-Balah, in central Gaza, killing a farmer, identified as Khaled Baraka.
Earlier, medical sources at the Shifa Hospital in Gaza City reported that a Palestinian teenage boy was killed by Israeli gunfire outside the areas of Israeli deployment in the Zeitoun neighborhood in southeastern Gaza City, which also came under heavy artillery shelling.
The sources identified the slain Palestinian as Mohammad As‑Sarahi, 16, and said he was killed near Salahuddin Mosque.
In Beit Lahia in the northern Gaza Strip, Israeli artillery targeted the western areas of the city, while Israeli naval vessels opened fire off the coast of Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip.
A correspondent for Al‑Jazeera reported that artillery shelling and airstrikes targeted areas of Israeli deployment east of Khan Younis and Gaza City, adding that the Israeli army carried out demolition operations in parts of the Zeitoun neighborhood. Israeli armored vehicles also advanced around Siyam Street and the nearby junction in Zeitoun, accompanied by additional artillery fire.
East of the Al‑Bureij refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip, Israeli vehicles opened fire indiscriminately, while Israeli warplanes flew at low altitude over the southern areas of the Strip.
In Rafah, in the southernmost part of the Gaza Strip, a Palestinian fisherman was injured after an Israeli drone opened fire on him along the city’s coastline, according to local sources.
Meanwhile, the Rafah border crossing reopened on Monday for the departure of patients and humanitarian cases, and the return of Palestinians stranded on the Egyptian side.
According to local reporters, the sixth group of patients and medical evacuees left Gaza through the crossing after being processed by the Palestinian Red Crescent Society, in coordination with representatives of the World Health Organization, for transfer to hospitals outside the Strip.
Since its reopening last Monday, the Rafah crossing has seen the departure of more than 189 patients and companions, and the return of over 88 Palestinians stranded in Egypt.
On Sunday, medical sources in the Gaza Strip said that ongoing Israeli violations across the devastated coastal enclave killed six Palestinians and caused several injuries.
The Ministry of Health in Gaza said that 174 additional slain Palestinians were added to the cumulative total after their identities were verified and formally approved by the Committee for the Accreditation of Martyrs between 30 January and 6 February 2026.
Since the ceasefire took effect on 11 October 2025, Israeli forces have killed 582 Palestinians and injured nearly 1,544 in more than 1,500 documented violations. The bodies of 717 Palestinians have also been recovered from the rubble across the destroyed Gaza Strip.
The cumulative toll since 7 October 2023 has risen to at least 72,032 Palestinians killed and 171,661 injured, the majority of whom are children, women, and the elderly.
