Israeli occupation forces carried out a series of invasions, home incursions, and abductions across the occupied West Bank on Thursday, targeting multiple towns and refugee camps, breaking into homes, and installing new military roadblocks while also converting civilian property into military posts.
In Hebron in the southern West Bank, Israeli forces invaded several neighborhoods in the town of Beit Ummar, north of the city, broke into numerous homes, damaged property, and turned several houses into military posts after detaining residents inside for hours.
The troops abducted Rashid Ahmad Sabarna, 50, and his 14‑year‑old son Mustafa, and seized more than 30 vehicles, claiming they were “unlicensed.”
In the nearby town of as‑Samu’, south of Hebron, the army abducted nine Palestinians after invading several neighborhoods and breaking into homes.
Those abducted were identified as Emad Mohammad Al‑‘Anid, Sanad Ahmad Al‑Hawamda, Ayman Abu ‘Arqoub, Mohammad Suleiman Al‑Mahariq, Ahmad Saleh Al‑Mahariq, Bakr Nour Al‑Mahariq, Ayman Ahmad Abu ‘Awad, Jibreel Al‑Hawamda, and Abdul‑Mu‘iz Al‑Jisrawi.
In occupied Jerusalem, Israeli forces invaded the Beit Hanina, in the northern part of the city, and abducted journalist and photographer Mohammad Adli Abu Sneina from his home.
In Ramallah in the central West Bank, Israeli forces invaded the Al‑Jalazoun refugee camp north of the city and the town of Beitunia to the west, breaking into homes and abducting Mohammad Mahdi Wajih Rimawi, 21, and Taha Yahia Shoukha, 36.
Later in the day, troops invaded central Ramallah, deployed along Al‑Irsal Street, stormed a residential building, and abducted Ahmad Hanoun and his nephew Yazan Hanoun.
Israeli forces also installed a military roadblock at the western entrance of the village of Al‑Mughayyer northeast of Ramallah, stopping vehicles and searching them, causing significant traffic delays.
The Wall & Colonization Resistance Commission said that the number of military roadblocks and gates across Palestinian areas now exceeds 916, including 243 gates installed after October 7, 2023.
In Nablus in the northern West Bank, Israeli forces invaded the towns of Beita and Odala, broke into homes, and abducted Hazem Hammad Rashid from Odala and Nassim Jamil Hamayel from Beita.
The army also abducted Ahmad Saleh Hassan Bisharat, 49, from the town of Tammun southeast of Tubas in the northeastern West Bank, after stopping him at a flying military roadblock near the village of ‘Awarta south of Nablus.
In Jenin in the northern West Bank, the soldiers invaded the town of Al‑Silat Al‑Harithiya west of the city, broke into several homes, and abducted five Palestinians: Saed Taher Zayyoud (Abu Ahmad) and his son Mohammad, Mohammad Sa’id Taher Zayyoud, Fadi Shawahna (Abu Salama), Majd Saadi, and Mustafa Abu Rashid.
Troops also invaded the town of Al‑Yamun, detained several residents, and subjected them to field interrogation. In a separate incident, Israeli forces invaded the town of Saris south of Jenin.
In Qalqilia in the northwestern West Bank, Israeli forces invaded the village of Kafr Qaddum, broke into homes belonging to the families of Dhafer Barham, Rami Obeid, and Hikmat Eshteiwi, and turned one house into a military post after forcing the family of Ahmad Barham to leave. The army also detained nine young men, interrogated them, and later released them.
Meanwhile, Israeli forces have continued to close the main entrance to the nearby village of Al‑Funduq–Hajjah with an iron gate for six consecutive months, forcing thousands of residents to use long, unpaved detours to reach their homes and workplaces. Troops also invaded the town of Hajja east of Qalqilia.
The widespread invasions, home incursions, abductions, and movement restrictions reflect the ongoing escalation of Israeli military operations across the occupied West Bank.
