Israeli occupation soldiers sealed the family home of wounded detainee Ahmad Abu al‑Rob in the town of Qabatia, south of Jenin in the occupied West Bank’s northern part.

Israeli units invaded Qabatia before dawn, surrounding the Abu ar‑Rob family home and blocking access to the neighborhood.

Troops vandalized the interior of the house, and subsequently sealed entrance to the home as part of its punitive measures.

The invasion triggered widespread disruption across the town. Soldiers stopped vehicles near Al‑Furqan Mosque, searched residents, and deployed heavily around schools as students were leaving, causing panic among families.

Journalists covering the events reported that live fire was directed toward them as troops expanded their operation.

Israeli authorities claim Ahmad was behind the attack that killed two Israelis and injured six others on Friday in what they described as “a combined ramming and stabbing attack” in the Bisan area in the northern part of the country. He was shot, wounded, and detained by Israeli police at the scene.

According to Israeli Army Radio, the Shin Bet said the suspected attacker, Ahmad Abu ar‑Rob, is alleged to be affiliated with Islamic Jihad.

In recent days, forces have carried out multiple incursions into Qabatia and surrounding areas, including operations that resulted in the killing of three Palestinians after a house was besieged and shelled with explosives.

During that invasion, dozens of students suffered from tear gas inhalation when gas canisters were fired toward Abu Rab School and Qabatia School, both of which were surrounded by troops.

Elsewhere in the district, Israeli forces demolished three homes belonging to families of Palestinians killed in earlier protests.

Israeli bulldozers and large military convoys invaded Qabatia at dawn, forcing residents out of their homes and converting several properties into temporary military posts.

Young men were detained, beaten, and interrogated, and two brothers were abducted after their home was ransacked.
