Israeli forces shot, on Saturday, one Palestinian and abducted sixteen, in Beit Ummar town, north of Hebron in the southern West Bank, in addition to stealing money, jewelry, and vehicles.
On Saturday afternoon, Israeli forces shot a Palestinian young man and abducted two in Beit Ummar town, north of Hebron.
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society said that its ambulance crews transported a 19-year-old young man to hospital after Israeli forces shot him in the abdomen with live ammunition.
Media sources said that the army invaded and searched the homes of former prisoner, Qutaiba Al-Alami and Ahmed Akhilil, before abducting them.
They added that soldiers broke into and searched the home of Palestinian journalist, Ihab Al-Alami, in addition to the homes of his family members.
Earlier Saturday, Israeli forces stormed Beit Ummar town, closed all entrances to the town with dirt barriers, while soldiers occupied the rooftops of several homes, turning them into military barracks.
After breaking into and ransacking several citizens’ homes, Israeli forces abducted fourteen Palestinians, including a wounded young man, stole money, gold jewelry, and confiscated twenty vehicles.
During the incursion, the army invaded the homes of Muhammad Youssef Khudair Awad, 29, Ismail Anwar Hosni Zaqeq, 26, the wounded young man, Muhammad Rabie Abu Ayyash, 23, Muhammad Khalil Abu Ayyash, 25, Khalil Muhammad Sariya Abu Ayyash, 50, Hamad Mahmoud Tayeh Abu Ayyash, 26, Yasser Karim Akhilil, 24, Marwan Khaled Hussein Akhilil, 52, Muhammad Fakhri Akhilil, 28, Jamal Khalil Abu Maria, 55, Mahdi Al-Barbarawi, 26, Imad Ribhi Abu Maria, 35, Muhammad Rami Sabry Awad, 23, and Muhammad Marwan Akhil, 20, before abducting them.
According to Muhammad Awad, a local activist, said that soldiers detonated explosives in many of the homes before invading them, causing damage.
He also confirmed that soldiers stole money and jewelry from citizens’ homes and confiscated twenty privately-owned vehicles.
