On Sunday evening, Israeli forces shot a Palestinian young man, closed the Old City of occupied Jerusalem, and forced commercial shops to close.

Media sources said that occupation forces opened fire at citizens at Bab Al-Amoud (Damascus Gate), one of the entrances to the Old City, shooting a young man with live ammunition.

The severity of the young man’s wounds were not known at the time of writing this report.

Sources added that after the shooting, Israeli forces closed the gates to the Old City, and forced shop owners to close their doors.

Meanwhile, the occupation army invaded the town of Al-‘Isawiya, northeast of occupied Jerusalem, sparking protests among local Palestinian citizens.

Media sources said that soldiers stormed the town on Sunday evening, while local youths confronted the attacking army; no injuries or arrests were reported.
