Israeli forces shot and seriously injured, on Thursday evening, a young Palestinian man after an alleged stabbing attack at a light rail station north of occupied Jerusalem, and later stormed his family home and abducted his father and brother.
The reported alleged stabbing injured an Israeli security guard at a light rail station in the French Hill neighborhood, north of occupied Jerusalem, according to Israeli sources.
Media sources said that Dawoud Ahed Attiya, 19, from the town of Al-‘Isawiya, northeast of occupied Jerusalem, allegedly stabbed an Israeli security guard before Israeli forces shot and seriously wounded him.

Israeli police released a statement that the Palestinian youth “stabbed a guard at the light rail station, slightly injuring him with the palm of his hand.”
After the incident, Israeli police were heavily deployed throughout the area.
The injured young man was transported to the Shaare Zedek Hospital in Jerusalem for medical treatment. The nature of his wounds were not known at the time of writing this report.
Soon after the event, large numbers of Israeli special forces, police, and intelligence officers stormed the Al-‘Isawiya neighborhood, northeast of occupied Jerusalem, sparking protests among the local Palestinian youths.

Occupation forces invaded and ransacked the young man’s family home and abducted the father of the wounded young man, identified as Aa’ed Attiya, in addition to the young man’s brother, Ali Attiya, before moving them to an interrogation facility.
During the invasion, the soldiers hurled many concussion grenades and fired rubber-coated steel rounds and tear gas canisters at Palestinians who gathered nearby.

In related news, Israeli forces abducted, on Thursday evening, a Palestinian child, identified as Muhammad Qaws, 13, from the Old City of occupied Jerusalem, according to the Commission of Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs.
