Israeli forces killed, on Tuesday, a Palestinian child near Huwwara town, south of Nablus in the northern occupied West Bank, after an alleged stabbing attack.
The General Authority for Civil Affairs informed the Palestinian Ministry of Health that the child, Mohammad Hisham Shehadeh, 16, died of gunshot wounds.
Media sources said that on Tuesday afternoon, Israeli forces shot the child near the intersection between Huwwara town and the Qalqilia Road.
The Palestine Satellite Channel (Palestine TV) reported that the army confiscated the body of the slain child.
Ma’an News Agency reported that the child had allegedly carried out a stabbing attack in which an Israeli was injured, which were described as minor.
It added that the Israeli was slightly injured in the operation, he was taken to the hospital for medical treatment.
Meanwhile, occupation forces prevented Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) ambulance crews from approaching the wounded child.
For its part, the Times of Israel, who quoted the occupation army, an Israeli soldier was seriously injured in the purported stabbing.
The Times of Israel quoted the Israel army who said that the slain Palestinian child walked up to an army post at the “Yitzhar” Junction, close to the illegal “Yitzhar” colony, and stabbed one of the Israeli soldiers.
It is important to mention that the Times of Israel published a photo of the knife allegedly used in the attack, which shows a kitchen knife without any blood on it, provided by the occupation army.
Israeli forces have killed 422 Palestinians in the occupied West Bank since the beginning of the Israeli military onslaught against the Gaza strip, on October 7, 2023.
In the past four days, Israeli has killed 5 Palestinian children in the occupied West Bank.
On Monday, Israeli forces killed Amr Muhammad Najjar, 10, after shooting him in the head with live ammunition in the the town of Burin, south of Nablus.
Also on Monday, occupation soldiers killed Mustafa Abu Shalbak, 16, after shooting him in the chest and neck with live ammunition, in the Al-Amari refugee camp in the central West Bank city of Ramallah.
North of Ramallah, Israeli soldiers shot and killed Mohammad Khaled Zaid, 13, on Saturday, near the Apartheid wall, close the Al-Jalazoun refugee camp.
Also on Saturday, the occupation army killed Mohammad Murad Al-Deek, 16, after shooting him in the head with live ammunition, in the town of Kafr Ni’ma, west of Ramallah.
