Israeli forces shot and critically injured a Palestinian young man, on Monday afternoon, after invading the “Bab al-Zawiya” area in the center of Hebron city, in the southern occupied West Bank.
Eyewitnesses said the army invaded the center of Hebron, conducted violent searches which led to protests, and added that the military shot Al-‘Oweiwi while withdrawing from the area.
The Palestinian Health Ministry announced that a young man sustained a critical head injury after being shot by an Israeli soldier; he was transported to the Hebron Governmental Hospital.
Earlier, the soldiers invaded central Hebron, isolated it, and forced over five hundred shop owners to shut their businesses to allow fanatic paramilitary Israeli colonizers to march in the area.
Sources added that occupation forces opened fire with live rounds and concussion grenades at Palestinian youths present in the area, shooting the young man in the head with live ammunition.
Quds News Network reported that the injured young man was transported to the Al-Ahli Hospital in Hebron, due to his severe condition.
Meanwhile, Palestine TV published a video showing occupation forces detained several Palestinian young men near the Ibrahimi Mosque; their identities were not known at the time of writing this report.
In related news, Israeli soldiers abducted a young man and detained others for several hours, on Monday morning, after invading several neighborhoods in the city of Hebron.
Media sources said that occupation forces stormed the city, broke into and ransacked many citizens’ homes, abducted the young man, Mohammad Omar Mujahid al-Tamimi, and detained several young men before releasing them.
