Israeli forces shot, on Thursday, two Palestinians during non-violent demonstrations along the eastern border of the besieged Gaza Strip, and caused a number of others to suffer the toxic effects of tear gas inhalation.

Hundreds of Palestinian youths gathered at separate areas along the eastern border of Gaza, on Thursday, to protest the siege of Gaza, and in support of Al-Aqsa, and Palestinian prisoners inside occupation prisons.

In the northern part of the Gaza Strip, Palestinian youths gathered along the perimeter fence east of Gaza City and Jabalia, while others gathered to the east of Khan Younis and Rafah in the southern part.

Israeli forces, positioned in armored vehicles behind the separation fence, opened fire with live rounds and tear gas canisters at the unarmed Palestinian demonstrators.

At least two young men were shot with live rounds, one of whom was seriously injured, while others sustained inhalation injuries as a result of tear gas exposure.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health announced the arrival of a critical gunshot wound to the Al-Shifa Medical Complex in Gaza City.
