Israeli forces shot a Palestinian with live rounds in the southern West Bank governorate of Bethlehem on Wednesday afternoon. Late Wednesday night, the army besieged a citizen’s home in the town of Tammun, south of Tubas in the northeastern part of the occupied West Bank.
Media sources reported that occupation forces shot a Palestinian man in Wednesday afternoon while he was present in the Wadi al-Hummus area east of Bethlehem.
According to Muhammad Allan, the director of the Al-Ubaidiya Ambulance services, ambulance crews transported a young man in his thirties to a hospital in Bethlehem after he sustained a live gunshot wound to the leg.
Quds Press reported that Israeli forces opened fire with live rounds and tear gas canisters towards Palestinians in the town of Tuqu’, south of Bethlehem on Wednesday afternoon; no injuries were reported.
Palestine TV reported that occupation forces stormed the town of Za’tara, southeast of Bethlehem and invaded citizens’ homes after midnight on Wednesday/Thursday; no arrests have been reported.
Meanwhile, occupation forces stormed the town of Tammun after midnight Wednesday/Thursday and besieged a citizen’s home, sparking protests among Palestinians.
Media sources said that undercover Israeli agents infiltrated Tammun town after midnight Wednesday/Thursday, and surrounded a Palestinian-owned home in the eastern part of the town.
The sources added that the army opened fire with live rounds towards the besieged home, while reconnaissance drones hovered overhead and military reinforcements arrived; the operation is ongoing; no injuries or arrests have been reported.
Earlier on Wednesday, Israeli forces killed the young man, Ahmad Jihad Brahama, 21, and wounded three others, including one seriously, after invading the village of Anza, southwest of Jenin in the northern occupied West Bank.
Media sources said that occupation forces stormed Anza village on Wednesday morning, deployed sharpshooters on the rooftops of civilian homes and shot Brahama, an engineering student at Khadouri University, in the chest with live ammunition.
Brahama succumbed to his critical injuries after he was transported to hospital, while three other citizens were shot by Israeli forces, one of whom sustained serious injuries.
