On Sunday night, Israeli forces shot two Palestinian young men near the Tarqumiyah military roadblock, northwest of Hebron in the southern occupied West Bank.

Media sources said that occupation forces opened fire with live rounds towards a vehicle with with two young men inside, injuring them both in the legs; they were transported to hospital.

In related news, a Palestinian young man was brutally assaulted, on Sunday evening, by masked Israelis in the Al-Auja spring area, north of Jericho in the northeastern part of the West Bank.

Media sources said that a group of masked Israelis, and presumed to be soldiers, kidnapped and assaulted Laith Awaina, a citizen of the Bethlehem governorate.

Sources added that the masked assailants brutally beat Awaina, causing various cuts and bruises, before dropping him off near the Al-Hamra military roadblock in the northern Jordan Valley; he was later transported to the Turkish Hospital in Tubas, in the northeastern part of the West Bank.
