After the Israeli missiles targeted the home of a Palestinian journalist, killing her and her family in Gaza City, the number of Palestinian journalists slain by Israeli missiles and shells in the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, has arrived at 64.
On Friday dawn, the army fired missiles at the home of Palestinian journalist Amal Zohd in Gaza City, killing her and her entire family.
Her killing came just one day after Israeli missiles targeted the homes of photojournalist Mohammad Ayyash, killing him and several members of his family.
It is worth mentioning that, on November 21, the Israeli army killed two journalists working for the Al-Mayadeen News Agency in southern Lebanon; the two are Farah Omar, 25, and photojournalist Rabea Mi’mari, in addition to Hussein Aqeel, an independent journalist who was with them.
The Palestinian Journalists Syndicate has reported that Israeli missiles and shells have killed 63 Palestinian journalists in the Gaza Strip since October 7.
The Syndicate added that the army abducted 29 journalists in the West Bank in the same timeframe in addition to two journalists, Nidal Al-Wahidi and Haitham Abdul-Wahed, from the Gaza Strip, whose fate remains unknown.
Israeli missiles and shells have killed more than 14.800 Palestinians, including 6150 children and 4000 women, and injured at least 36.000 Palestinians. There are about 7000 Palestinians, largely women and children, who remain missing.
