Israeli navy ships fired, on Thursday, several live rounds at Palestinian fishing boats near the shore of Gaza city, in the besieged coastal region.
The navy chased the fishing boats and fired many live rounds at them while they were sailing less than three nautical miles from the Sudaniyya shore, northwest of Gaza city.
The sources added that the attack did not lead to casualties but forced the fishermen to leave, fearing further violations.
In related news, Israeli warplanes sprayed toxins on Palestinian lands near the perimeter fence across the eastern parts of the Gaza Strip.
The attacks are part of frequent Israeli violations against the Palestinians, especially the fishermen, farmers, shepherds, and workers in the besieged and impoverished Gaza Strip, and resulted in dozens of casualties, including fatalities, in addition to severe property damage and the confiscation of many boats after abducting the fishermen.
In March of last year, 2021, the Palestinian Interior Ministry in Gaza said Israeli mines were responsible for an explosion that led to the death of three fishermen.
