Israeli soldiers withdrew from the city of Nablus in the northern part of the occupied West Bank after several hours of aggression, which resulted in the killing of a young man and the injury of 31 Palestinians.

Medical sources reported that the young man, Tareq Qassem Al-Qassas, 34, succumbed to his critical injury from live bullets to the chest, Tuesday.

Seven Palestinians were injured by bullets in various parts of their bodies, six citizens were injured by bullet fragments, one citizen was injured from a fall, and 17 citizens, including a 7-month-old infant, suffered from suffocation after the occupation forces fired bullets, sound bombs, and gas bombs at citizens around the western cemetery on University Street.

Local sources indicated that the Palestinian Red Crescent Society and Nablus Municipality Fire Department crews evacuated an educational center near the site of the invasion, and four families were evacuated from An-Najah Al-Qadim and Al-Ma’moun streets.

Media sources reported that occupation soldiers violated the sanctity of the cemetery and demolished several tombstones.

The sources added that the occupation forces also stormed the eastern area of the city and fired live bullets, sound bombs, and gas bombs around Askar refugee camp, resulting in one citizen being injured by live bullets in the foot.

In the last 24 hours, the occupation forces have invaded the city of Nablus three times.

The occupation’s aggression on Nablus coincides with its ongoing aggression on the city of Jenin and its refugee camp, as well as several towns and villages in the governorate, and its aggression on the city of Tulkarem and its refugee camps, Nur Shams and Tulkarm.

Since January 21, the Israeli occupation army has launched its aggression on cities and refugee camps in the West Bank, focusing on the governorates of Jenin, Tulkarem, and Tubas, resulting in the killing and injury of dozens of citizens, including women and children, the forced displacement of more than 40,000 citizens, and the destruction of hundreds of homes and infrastructure, amid Israeli threats to expand the aggression and continue it for a long period, preventing the return of displaced families to the refugee camps.

Israeli forces shot and killed a Palestinian child, on Wednesday, while he was in the vicinity of the Apartheid Wall in Qalqilia, in the northwestern part of the occupied West Bank.

WAFA correspondent reported that occupation forces shot the child, Hamed Fadl Muwafi, 17, in the head with live rounds, on Wednesday afternoon, while he was near the separation wall, built on Palestinian lands in Qalqilia city.
